Baker's Falls is a picturesque 20-metre waterfall within Horton Plains National Park, located on the main 9km circular trail that also passes World's End. Named after the English explorer Samuel Baker, the falls cascade through dense cloud forest into a rocky ravine. It is one of the highlights of the Horton Plains walk.
What It Is
A 20-metre waterfall surrounded by montane cloud forest at approximately 2,000 metres elevation. The falls are reached via a well-maintained trail with steps leading down to a viewing platform.
Why Visit
As part of the Horton Plains circuit, Baker's Falls provides a satisfying natural highlight on the return leg after World's End. The cloud forest setting is atmospheric and the waterfall is genuinely beautiful.
