BSL Tours team exploring Sri Lanka

A small team that knows the island

Locally owned. UK registered. Building private Sri Lanka tours since 2015.

BSL Tours started with a simple observation: most visitors to Sri Lanka follow the same well-worn route and miss the places that make the island genuinely extraordinary.

We are Sri Lankan. We grew up here. We know the back roads, the family-run guesthouses, the temple festivals that never make the guidebooks, and the coves where you will not see another tourist. We turned that knowledge into a travel company that builds private, fully guided tours for visitors who want more than the surface.

Today we are a small team based in Colombo. Every tour is private, every itinerary is customisable, and every guest gets a dedicated guide who knows the destination personally. We are small by choice. It lets us give every trip the attention it deserves.

Why guests choose us

Locally owned, locally run

We design and operate every trip ourselves with our own guides and vehicles. When you call us, you are talking to the people who will be looking after you on the ground.

Every tour is private

No group buses, no fixed schedules. Your guide, your vehicle, your pace. Want to spend an extra hour at a temple or skip a stop entirely? That is your call.

Built around you

We start with your interests, travel style, and budget, then build the itinerary from scratch. Luxury resorts, village homestays, or a mix of both.

We adapt when plans change

24/7 local support throughout your trip. Road closed? We know the alternative. Want to add a day somewhere? We rearrange the rest.

What our guests say

This was exactly the holiday we needed. Two weeks of coast, culture, and total relaxation. Tangalle was the standout for us, completely quiet, gorgeous beach, and the Anantara resort was faultless. The Galle Fort section was romantic and the mask museum in Ahungalla was an unexpected highlight.

Sri Lankan Beach Escape

The Heritance Kandalama was extraordinary. Waking up to views of Sigiriya from the infinity pool set the tone for the whole trip. Our guide Rohan knew every hidden corner of the ruins and made each site come alive with stories you won't find in any guidebook.

Cultural Triangle Luxury Tour

Eight days was the perfect length. We saw the highlights without feeling like we were on a conveyor belt. The Kandy to Ella train was worth the trip alone, and cycling through Polonnaruwa with monkeys running alongside us was unforgettable.
